This is coverage is developed specifically for small business start-ups.

We specialize in coverage for cannabis and help businesses in the following categories: dispensaries (medical and adult-use), and cultivation (indoor and outdoor).

We specialize in coverage for low-end revenue clients (up to $2.5 M in annual revenue) how do not currently have coverage due to it generally being cost prohibitive.

This coverage does not cover manufacturing and processing facilities that include extraction, infused edible products, infused topical products, extract manufacturing are not eligible for coverage. Monoline coverage is not available, but it can be packaged with General Liability.

Annual Revenue

  • $0 – $1,000,000 – Dispensaries (medical and adult use) $750 flat charge and Cultivation (indoor and outdoor) $1,000 flat charge.
  • $1,000,001 – $1,500,000 – Dispensaries (medical and adult use) $1000 flat charge and Cultivation (indoor and outdoor) $1,250 flat charge.
  • $1,500,001, – $2,000,000 – Dispensaries (medical and adult use) $1,250 flat charge and Cultivation (indoor and outdoor) $1,500 flat charge.
  • $2,000,001, – $2,500,000 – Dispensaries (medical and adult use) $1,500 flat charge and Cultivation (indoor and outdoor) $1,750 flat charge.

​​​​​​​Specific Underwriting Requirements:

  • A copy of the active state license to grow, produce or dispense cannabis products is required.
  • Copies of all labels and label warnings, and full product list with all ingredients listed.
  • The insured must be in compliance with all local and state laws pertaining to the respective class of business.
  • If required by state law, the insured must keep separate records for medical cannabis and adult-use cannabis.
  • If the insured mixes, labels and re-labels any baked goods/candies, infused oils/lotions/tinctures, food products or smoking accessories – they would be considered a manufacturing risk, and therefore ineligible for coverage.
  • All products sold/produced must be testing by a third party testing lab. The results must conform to the following:
  • Products are not contaminated with pesticides, bacteria, mold/fungi, mycotoxins, heavy metals, residual solvents.
  • Cannabinoid profiles (THCA, delta8-THC, delta9-THC, CBDA, CBD, CBG, CBN, etc.)
  • Cannabinoid dosage per servine (milligrams per serving for each cannabinoid)
  • Terpene profiles

$1,000 – $2500
