Are you a homeowner in Solterra Colorado and in need of homeowners insurance that will provide the right protection at the time of loss?  Here are 5 things that you should know when considering homeowners insurance in Solterra Colorado

  1.  Wind.  The Wind in this area is not all that frequent but when it blows, it can come through the valley with gusts of 100 MPH.  Your home insurance should have adequate wind protection with a deductible that wont break the bank!  Wind for roof, fence, outstructures, trees, siding, decks and much more
  2. Hail.  Many of the roofs in Solterra have concrete style Tuscan roofs.  This is a great!  These roofs will typically stand up to more sever hail impacts.  However, making sure that your homeowners insurance policy has coverage for the breaking of tiles or complete desturction of your roof.  Many insurance companies have moved to a percentage hail deductible in Colorado.  Is yours one of them?

  4. Earth Movement.  Soterra is built on the side of a hill and the soils in the neighborhood are subject to movement over time.  We can provide coverage for subsidence or earth movement, similar to Earthquake
  5. Loss Assessment Coverage.  If the HOA has a claim and there is not enough funds to pay for the loss, then they can assess a penalty to each homeowner.  Homeowners insurance has coverage for loss assessment and it can be critical if and when there is an assessment on you.  Make sure your loss assessment coverage has $10k or more.
