Every day is a reward!!

Are you prepared? It seems like it is fall out for sure. But I have some news – the CO cold front is quickly upon us. As you may have noticed, we quickly went from the 70 degree temperatures to the 50’s and maybe 60’s. However, looking at the next few days, I see a 27 degree (high)/15 degree low snow day in there with 76% humidity. When this happens in Colorado there are multiple things that happen.
So how can we prepare for Sunday’s cold front?
First, look at your calendar to decide if you need to be out on that day. If not, stay in. Second, make sure you have taken care of your vehicle and loaded it up with all your Colorado cold winter driving necessities like scrapers, gloves, scarves, a small shovel, tires with good tread, water and a blanket for an emergency situation, your insurance card, road side assistance numbers, etc. Third, pipes freezing and bursting is historical when temperatures plummet so quickly. This can cause thousands of dollars of damage. The pipes most at risk are the unheated interior places such as basements, attics and garages though pipes running through cabinets and walls can freeze too. Here are some tips to keep your pipes warm:
Fourth, let’s keep you in good health. I have some basic suggestion for you on this.
I hope this is helpful to you being that the COLD is coming on this one day and my guess, in the month’s to come. Welcome to fall and winter in Colorado. Keeping you protected.
